I just realized that, instead of doing a walking meditation, I could be running. Equipped with a timer, I jogged for 35 minutes, same amount of time as my walking practice. It felt weird initially; my butt was actually activated when I ran. Doing yoga helps because I'm more aware of my body. I kept scanning my upper body to see if I tensed my shoulders or neck. Almost everyone ran faster than me, but I don't care. It was nice when wind brushed my face, and it was a nice day today. I planned to substitute jogging for walking when I don't do a full ashtanga yoga primary series.
The Ecomomist ran an obituary column on guruji.
Today was the first day of class at KU. Nice to see them back.
